The blind person stands on the hinge side, opposite the handle.
The guide extends their arm, grabs the handle and pushes the door.
The blind person uses their free hand for protection and locates the handle to close the door behind them.
Pulling a Door
The blind person stands on the hinge side, opposite the handle.
The guide extends their arm, grabs the handle and pulls the door.
The blind person protects their face, locates the handle along the edge, and closes the door behind them.
