Arts Therapy Initiatives by Country

Arts therapy provides visually impaired youth with opportunities for self-expression, emotional regulation, social interaction and skill development. Programmes in theatre, dance, ceramics and music foster creativity, enhance psychomotor skills and contribute to personal empowerment.

Italy

  • Progetto Graf – Sculpture Workshops (Rome): hands-on tactile workshops with clay and stone, enhancing tactile perception, creativity and artistic engagement.
  • Associazione Progress: promotes social inclusion through art therapy — workshops, listening groups and the Sentire la Danza project offering accessible contemporary dance experiences.
  • Danilo Dolci Centre for Creative Development (MEDART project): uses dramatherapy and theatre techniques to promote creativity and social integration.

Poland

  • Green Art Therapy Foundation: Therapy and Theatre – Ex Animo Theatre combines art therapy and speech therapy; Summer with Theatre offers outdoor therapeutic workshops.
  • Special Educational and Care Center (Bronina): arts therapy classes for stress relief, emotional expression and cognitive development.

Czech Republic

  • University of South Bohemia – Department of Art Therapy: bachelor’s programme in projective-interventional art therapy.
